The Calcutta Run will return to Blackhall Place this year on Saturday 28th May 2022. The event, organised by the Law Society of Ireland, will see members of the law profession, their families and friends fundraise to alleviate homelessness in both Ireland and Calcutta.
The event is returning in-person this year after being held virtually for the last 2 years. Participants will be able to run either the 5k or 10k Blackhall Place-Phoenix Park routes. There will also be an option to participate virtually between 21st – 28th May.
This year’s fundraising target is €300,000. This target will complete the milestone fundraising goal of €5 million over the 24 years the event has been running. This year, team awards will be presented to firms in recognition of all their hard work.
Registration for the event is now open.
All funds raised as part of the Calcutta Run will go towards the work of Peter McVerry Trust and The Hope Foundation. Peter McVerry Trust is grateful to the Law Society and the participants of the Calcutta Run for their ongoing support.
