The Board of Directors of Peter McVerry Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to its governing body, strengthening its leadership as it continues to tackle homelessness and support the most vulnerable in Irish society.
The new board members bring a wealth of expertise across HR, communications, law, arbitration and safeguarding to the organisation and will play a vital role in supporting Peter McVerry Trust’s ongoing governance and financial restructuring.
Joining the board are:
- Liz Bayfield, Director, Koru Consulting
- Paul Bailey, Head of Global Marketing & Communications, IDA Ireland
- Damien Keogh SC, Principal – DKA Solicitors; Managing Director – DKADR Limited
- Valerie Philpott, Safeguarding Advisor, Misean Cara
These appointments to the Board of Directors follow the addition of Aidan Connaughton in 2024, along with Kathleen McCann and Nessan Vaughan who were appointed earlier this year, and Tony O’Brien, who joined as Chairperson in May 2025. Together, this new Board of Directors reflect Peter McVerry Trust’s commitment to building an experienced and multidisciplinary leadership team.
