Peter McVerry Trust, the national housing and homelessness charity, is delighted to be one of the 23 organisations shortlisted for the Coca-Cola Thank You Fund People’s Choice Award. The award offers organisations a grant of €5,000 to deliver a project that is designed to support marginalised young people.

The charity is seeking support for the development of a Basic Needs Fund, designed to give young people access to the tools they need for their career or apprenticeship. This would include the provision of equipment for culinary programmes, safety equipment for apprenticeships as well as safe pass training. Supporting these basic needs would make education and training accessible, inclusive and create a pathway out of homelessness.
