On Friday 8th April, Peter McVerry Trust was delighted to return to Clontarf Castle Hotel for our annual Gala Ball.
The Spring Gala Ball, kindly hosted by Irish media personality Matt Cooper, was a successful night of fundraising and dancing with over 200 guests in attendance.
We’re delighted to announce that over €100,000 was raised for our work supporting people impacted by homelessness across Ireland.
The event, which is fully sponsored by Clontarf Castle Hotel, has been running for over 10 years and is an important part of our fundraising calendar.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our attendees, sponsor Clontarf Castle Hotel, host Matt Cooper, Board, corporate partners and the individuals and companies who donated auction and raffle prizes.
We took the opportunity on Friday night to present a number of special awards. Three of our Directors were presented with an award for outstanding leadership; Noelle Woods, Director of Nursing and Addiction Services, Liz Peña, Director of Services with Responsibility for Allocations, Research and Compliance and Bernie Keigher, Director of Services with Responsibility for Homeless Services. The awards recognised their contribution and leadership throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our founder Fr. Peter McVerry also presented two awards to Rod Ensor, Chair of the Board and Peter Birthistle, Chair of Finance, Audit and Governance Committee, for their service and outstanding contribution to Peter McVerry Trust for over ten years.
