Peter McVerry Trust Wexford Cycle 2022

We welcomed over 150 cyclists to the Peter McVerry Trust Wexford Cycle on Saturday 17th September – celebrating our 33rd annual cycle.

After a cold start at the UCD Bowl at 7am, the sun came out as cyclists began to tackle the 140km route to Wexford town. The event finished with a BBQ in Clayton Whites Hotel, with fantastic entertainment from American gospel group The Legendary Ingramettes.

Pat Doyle, CEO of Peter McVerry Trust, said: “It was brilliant to mark 33 years of the Wexford Cycle with yet another successful outing in the sunshine. The feedback from the day was incredible, so positive. The event is the biggest on our fundraising calendar and we couldn’t do it without the support of our volunteers, sponsors, partners, donors, staff and, of course, all the cyclists.

“Thank you also to UCD, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Wicklow County Council, Wexford County Council, An Garda Siochana, Pearse Park GAA Stadium in Arklow, Clayton Whites Hotel, Wexford and our visiting guests The Legendary Ingramettes.

“Events like the Wexford Cycle ensure that we can keep giving more people the key to their own front door.”
