February 10th 2023 was another night to remember for Peter McVerry Trust, as we were welcomed back to Clontarf Castle Hotel for the 16th annual Gala Ball.
The event, kindly hosted by Irish media personality Matt Cooper, was a particularly special evening as 2023 marks 40 years of Peter McVerry Trust. It was also the last Gala Ball for our CEO, Pat Doyle. After 18 years of service, Pat is due to depart from his role in May to return to one-to-one work with clients. He received a standing ovation following his welcome speech – acknowledging his outstanding dedication and commitment to Peter McVerry Trust.
The evening was full of jollity and generosity, with over 250 people in attendance, all partaking in the silent auction to raise funds for Peter McVerry Trust. In total, the event raised just under €100,000 for our work in support of those who are experiencing homelessness in Ireland.
This event is one of the most important milestones in our fundraising calendar and we are so grateful to Clontarf Castle Hotel for their long-standing support.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our attendees, host Matt Cooper, Board, corporate partners and the individuals and companies who donated auction and raffle prizes.
