Ravenswood is our first greenfield development. It is a scheme of eight one-bedroom homes together with a small community building. It has been specifically designed to provide housing to single people with the most complex needs including people with acute health needs. The scheme cost €1.6 million and was primarily funded under Rebuilding Ireland with additional funds provided by the Water Refund Project.
The scheme was opened by the Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Anthony Lavin, on 28th February 2019.
The new tenants will have access to both visiting and on-site supports from Peter McVerry Trust staff, while the community building will provide residents with a central location in which to socialise.

Water Refund Project:
In late 2017 an initiative known as the refund project was initiated by Focus Ireland, Peter McVerry Trust and Simon Communities of Ireland to seek donations form households receiving water charge refunds. The appeal raised over €1 million and €236,000 of the €361,000 allocated to Peter McVerry Trust was spent on this project to deliver two new homes. The balance is to be spent on another project in Athy which will provide housing for a family impacted by homelessness in Kildare.
