Harvey Norman Making Homes
In February, Harvey Norman’s staff and customers worked together and raised funds to kit out 20 new homes for those experiencing homelessness. The second year of the Making Homes campaign saw Harvey Norman staff across the country hold over 300 local fundraising activities, both in-store and out. They baked, busked, cycled, hiked, waxed legs, and shaved heads, and held talent shows, quiz nights, raffles and pyjama days. Harvey Norman customers got involved too through the option of adding €1 to their purchases at the till and through buying products in the Making Homes Collection. All funds raised will be used by Peter McVerry Trust to move more than 20 people out of homelessness permanently this year.
This is the second year in a row Harvey Norman Ireland have held their Making Homes Campaign, and it continues to be a huge success for Peter McVerry Trust, Harvey Norman staff and their customers. To date, the Harvey Norman Making Homes campaign has raised over €350,000.
