The Virtual Calcutta Run will take place this September 17th – 26th. This year the Law Society of Ireland are going global, collectively running, walking, hiking or cycling 30,000km over 10 days from Dublin to Cork, on to New York, next stop Olympic Tokyo, on to Kolkata and finishing up in Dublin!
Members of the profession, their families and friends will fundraise together virtually. Raise €10 for every kilometre, reaching their target of €300,000 to help alleviate homelessness.
Everyone taking part can do so whenever and wherever they like over ten days throughout Ireland and around the globe. So please spread the word among friends, family and colleagues. Arrange a small run in your own area, city whether it is in Ireland or abroad. Arrange firm gatherings on a specific date in the local area or near your firm.
The generosity seen in 2020 was unparalleled and beyond expectations with €285,000 being raised to help alleviate homelessness in Ireland and Kolkata. They want to match last year’s success to raise vital funds for the Peter McVerry Trust and The Hope Foundation.
This year team and individual awards will be awarded to firms and individual participants in recognition of all their hard work.
