As we all adjust to the new normal of staying at home, physical exercise and activity are more important than ever – that’s where our Virtual Long Walk Home challenge comes into play!
Whether it’s a quick run at lunch to break up the day, a family walk before dinner to burn off some energy, an online workout, or a walk around the garden during a conference call, your steps can make a difference to the people we are supporting during the COVID-19 pandemic.
You can support those without a home of their own during this crisis by challenging yourself to walk 10km, 25km or even 50km by the end of May, in support of Peter McVerry Trust, all while making sure you stay within a 2km radius of your home, as per government guidelines.
How To Get Involved
Go The Distance: Decide how far you’re going to walk or run by the end of May.
Create a Fundraising Page: Set up your fundraising page on everydayhero or Facebook so your family, friends, and colleagues can sponsor your efforts.
Share Your Progress: Keep your supporters up to date by sharing photos on social media throughout your Virtual Long Walk Home challenge, making sure you tag Peter McVerry Trust in your posts.
