With work commencing in May 2021, the major project at Moyross and Southill in Limerick City is Peter McVerry Trust’s largest housing project to date.
The project will deliver 38 rapid build modular homes comprised of 22 two-bedroom units and 16 three-bedroom units, of which 24 will be in Moyross and 14 in Southill. It is due to be completed in December 2021.
The infill project is part of the larger Regeneration programme underway in Limerick. The modular units are being manufactured locally in the Galvone Industrial Estate, Southill. A social clause in the contract of works ensures employment pathways for local people as part of the construction and factory work involved in the project.
The scheme is being delivered in partnership with Limerick City and County Council under Rebuilding Ireland.
