To celebrate the release of Downton Abbey: A New Era, a charity screening will take place at Regal Cinema in Youghal, Cork on Saturday, 30th of April at 6pm. The event is in aid of Peter McVerry Trust, the national housing and homeless charity.
Be prepared to be taken back in time with the Cobh Vintage Era team in attendance on the night, along with a Ford Model T for the perfect photo opportunity and live entertainment with the dulcet tones of The Songstress, Marguerite O’Connor. Attendees are encouraged to immerse themselves in the theme of the night and a prize will be given for best dressed. All ticket holders will be greeted with canapes, cupcakes and fruit punch on arrival, with goody bags and a drink for mezzanine seat ticket holders.
Peter McVerry Trust, active in Cork since late 2019, helped 290 unique individuals impacted by homelessness across Cork City and county last year. The charity opened their Southern Regional office on North Main Street in Cork City in 2021.
Peter McVerry Trust is progressing plans to further expand its housing supports in the county this year, with a major focus on securing and delivering more one-bedroom homes for single people experiencing homelessness across the Cork region.
Tickets for the Downton Abbey: A New Era charity screening on Saturday 30th of April at 6:00pm, range from €30 – €42 and can be purchased on Eventbrite. 50% of ticket sales will go to Peter McVerry Trust to help support more people impacted by homelessness in Cork into a home of their own.
