COVID-19 has presented us all with new challenges. As we all evolve and respond to our own daily tasks and challenges, one thing that keeps on going and growing is our hair.
At Peter McVerry Trust we have responded to the challenge by going the extra mile in our response to people’s needs.
It includes our continuing focus on providing people with a key to their own safe, secure home – the need to support those in homelessness is more important now than ever.
This month, we are asking you to go that extra mile with your locks, braids, quiffs, cuts and shaves. Show that you are ‘hair’ for those in homelessness and take on the ‘Locks4Keys’ from the comfort of you own home:
- Do The Do: Donate the value of the haircut, or go all out and do your own ‘do’ and donate what you think it’s worth!
- Auction Your Locks: Always wanted that mullet? Always toyed with the idea of wavy blue locks? Nominate a wacky or wonderful hair style that you will commit to if your friends and family raise your target amount of funds.
- Shave & Share: take on the ultimate #Locks4Keys challenge, and hold a sponsored head shave or DIY style change to support Peter McVerry Trust
- Get Started: Set up a fundraising page on JustGiving, or contact us for more information on how you can take part at email@example.com
Your head, and your community, can help us to provide housing to help people exit homelessness, and to support people in their homes during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Share with your friends and family, and don’t forget to post a photo of your new locks using #Locks4Keys
